At the border of Flanders and Zeeland lies the new Grenspark Groot Saeftinghe. The salt marshes and mudflats of The Drowned Land of Saefthinghe form the largest tidal area in Western Europe, a paradise for water and meadow birds. In this vast landscape - from the Westerschelde to Hulst and the port of Antwerp - port, agriculture, and nature are inextricably linked.

Now that the depoldering of the Prosper and Hedwige polders is irreversible, it is time for a new economic and social impulse for the area. Creating opportunities for everyone!

Residents, governments, nature organizations, farmers, and the port of Antwerp are working together to create and put the new grenspark on the map.
